Route Summary in OSPF with IPv4 and IPv6 (CCNP)

This simulation is OSPF route summary.
Area 0 is 192.168.32.0/30
Area 1 is 172.16.32.0/30 to 172.16.36.0/30
Area 2 is 10.1.0.0/30 to 10.7.0.0/30

I did OSPF area stubs on iosv-6, iosv-7, iosv-8, iosv-9, iosv-11, iosv-12, iosv-14.  I did static default routes for IPv4 and IPv6 on them.

iosv-1 has area 1 range 172.16.32.0 255.255.252.0 and iosv-2 has area 2 range 10.0.0.0 255.248.0.0 for IPv4.

area 1 range 172.16.32.0 255.255.252.0 doesn’t cover something in the routing table?

iosv-1 has area 1 range fd00:172:16::/48 and iosv-2 has area 2 range fd00:10::/32

Check out the routing tables for the results.  The OSPF databases also have some interesting information on the route summary.   Check out the routing tables on the stubbed routers too.

iosv-1

Check out the O IA and OI routes in the routing tables.    In the databases, look for 10.x.x.x entries that were summarized in iosv-2.  DatabaseDS is Database Database-summary.  Very interesting information.

iosv-2

Check out the O IA and OI routes in the routing tables. In the databases, look for 172.16.x.x entries that were summarized in iosv-1.  DatabaseDS is Database Database-summary.  Very interesting information.
